About the Broker and Founder
Vaughan Simmons has been in commercial real estate brokerage since 1999 - long enough to become thoroughly knowledgeable, especially when combined with his CCIM training and designation - but not so long that he is bogged down in "old school" methods, especially when it comes to marketing.
A little background: A native of Atlanta, GA, Vaughan actually managed to get a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Duke University in 1967. Back then, electricity was much simpler, but even so, surviving those four years did train him in logical thought processes, and made him unafraid of most mathematical situations.
Prior to getting into real estate, Vaughan published a specialty magazine. This proved to be excellent training in marketing, especially "guerilla" marketing to a narrowly defined, specialized target audience. Again, good training for a commercial real estate broker.
After a brief introduction to the world of brokerage with a business brokerage firm (Bottom Line Management), Vaughan started his real estate career with The Eagle Group. The next stop was Bull Realty where he did graduate work in Multifamily Properties, and also completed his CCIM training.
In 2006 he founded Atlanta Apartment Brokers, dedicated to the principal that the commercial real estate market could use some fresh ideas. Vaughan Simmons is known for his persistence, conscientious attention to detail, and ability to bring people together to get the deal done.
